De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) started out as a community or night school for working students based in De La Salle University-Manila (DLSU-M). Under the leadership of the late Br. Andrew B. Gonzalez FSC, the community school evolved into a dynamic institution that offered pioneering degree programs different from what regular universities and colleges had.

The San Beda  Alabang , Miriam top 39th WNCAA cheerleading

San Beda College Alabang emerged junior cheerleading champion for the third straight year while Miriam ruled the inaugural midgets tilt in the 39th WNCAA

tournament held recently at the Makati Coliseum.

It was the SBCA Red Lions’ second championship this season after its earlier victory in Senior B volleyball.  They won P30,000 on top of medals and trophies.  Angelicum College wound up second and Miriam was third placer, taking home P20,000 and P10,000, respectively.

Miriam, who had already ruled midgets and junior basketball and senior futsal, won P5,000 in the midgets contest. St. Scholastica's College took the silver medal.

On  Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2009, SBCA and Rizal Memorial Coliseum will be the venues of the multi-event sportsfest where championships in athletics, badmintion, swimming and taekwondo are at stake.
